Travel Series

Cineplex Events brings a world of travel to your local theatre. Follow along with the makers of the Passport to the World series as we bring a new feature to screens each month. Please see below for the full line-up.

The Great North: From Greenland to Siberia – Passport to the World

The Great North is a little-known world, a hostile land ruled by ice and cold. Go above the Arctic Circle to meet the rare inhabitants and the animals who populate this immense territory. You will see how these men and women still live in symbiosis with nature as their ancestors have done for centuries.

Hong Kong: From East and West – Passport to the World

Hong Kong bills itself as a region unique in the world with a happy mixture of Eastern and Western flagrance. It is one of the world’s greatest financial centres, on par with New York and London. Despite its definitively modern, urban style, Hong Kong offers surprising attractions and natural wonders that are sure to move you.

Peru: Inca Sun – Passport to the World

Peru, the centre of the Inca Empire, preserves a number of traces of this legendary civilization. The best-known and most spectacular Inca site is definitely Machu Picchu. Beyond this unique treasure, Peru offers a whole panoply of other attractions, namely Lake Titicaca, Colca Canyon, and colourful markets.

Ireland: Emerald Island – Passport to the World

Green is the first thing that people associate with Ireland. Green plains and hills dominate the landscapes scattered with castles before ending abruptly at chiselled oceanside cliffs. Then, at the end of the day, when the rays of the setting sun pierce through the clouds and shimmer on the horizon, you will quickly understand why this paradise is known as the Emerald Island.

Presentations may not be available at all participating theatres for all advertised dates.
